1. Who we are

Peas & Quiet Kitchen Garden (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a personal kitchen garden assistant application. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use this service.

2. Data we collect

Account data: email address, used for authentication.
Garden data: location, garden dimensions, soil type, crop records, tasks, and journal entries you create.
Uploaded files: photos and documents you upload to the journal and My Guides sections.
Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) retained for up to 30 days.

3. How we use your data

To provide personalised garden advice and AI-generated recommendations.
To store your garden records so they are available when you return.
To send you account-related emails (e.g. password reset, collaborator invitations).
We do not sell your data to third parties.
We do not use your data for advertising.

4. AI processing

Garden advice and diagnoses are generated using Anthropic’s Claude API. Your garden context (location, crops, journal entries) is included in prompts sent to this API. Anthropic’s data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.

5. Data storage

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database and file storage hosted by Supabase in the EU West (Ireland) region. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies strictly necessary to keep you logged in. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
